Coming by train from London
Direct trains from London Paddington reach Kemble in about 1 hour 10 minutes and Stroud in about 1 hour 25 minutes. From Stroud station the practice is about 15 minutes by taxi, and from Kemble about 25 to 30 minutes.

Avoiding rush hour
Local roads are busiest from about 8am to 9.15am and 3pm to 6pm on weekdays, including the school run. If you can, choose a mid-morning or early-afternoon appointment, and check the live route before you set off: it reroutes you around delays.
- From Stroud: avoid the town-centre one-way system at peak times. Leave on the B4070 through Slad towards Birdlip, then follow the signs for Miserden.
- From Cirencester: take the A417 towards Gloucester, then turn off and go through Winstone to Miserden.
- From Cheltenham: head to Brockworth, then up to the Royal George Hotel in Birdlip, and follow the signs to Miserden.
- From Gloucester: head for the Royal George Hotel in Birdlip, then follow the signs to Miserden.
The last mile is on narrow country lanes, so allow a few extra minutes and follow the signs for Miserden rather than the shortest sat nav route.
