The “plasma rich platelets” (PRP) method is a process in cosmetic surgery. It is a way of extracting platelets from the patient’s own blood and using them as a dermal filler – that is injected under the skin of the face to fill out wrinkles and generally smooth the skin.

After an initial consultation appointment
During your second visit the actual procedure is : Your blood is drawn (just like a regular blood test) and then spun in a centrifugation system to separate the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from the other blood elements. This clear plasma, your natural material from your own body, is made up of white blood cells, this allows a concentration of this matter to be applied and kept on your skin that is to be treated. This replenishment stimulates accelerated healing and your body will create collagen cell growth naturally as it did when you were younger. This also improves blood supply to your skin tissue.
Those who want to treat fine lines and slight sagging on the lower part of the face (like the chin) and to treat laxity in the décolleté area, as well as cleavage creepiness. Treatment of acne scars and divots, cellulite, and even hair loss. Crows feet around the eye area can also be treated.
The treatment is a gradual process, so do not worry if you do not see any immediate results – it can take four weeks for results to become apparent, with improvements seen around the six to 12 week mark.
