a lasting solution for missing teeth

What can dental implants replace?

A dental implant is a small post placed into the jawbone to replace the root of a missing tooth. Once healed, it can support a crown, bridge or denture, providing a secure and functional replacement. Implants can replace:

A Single Tooth

An individual implant can support a crown to replace one missing tooth without relying on neighbouring teeth.

Multiple Teeth

Several missing teeth can be replaced using multiple implants or an implant-supported bridge.

Full Arch

For patients missing most or all of their teeth, implants can provide support for a fixed or removable full-arch restoration.

implant material

Titanium vs. Ceramic

Dental implants can be made from titanium or ceramic (typically zirconia).

Titanium is a well-established option that has been used successfully in implant dentistry for many years and is known for its strength and durability.

Ceramic implants provide a metal-free alternative and may be suitable for selected patients where a ceramic option is preferred and clinically appropriate.

suitability

Who is suitable for dental implants?

Dental implants may be suitable for adults with one or more missing teeth who have healthy gums and sufficient bone to support an implant. Your suitability will be assessed during a consultation, including your oral health, medical history, bone levels and treatment goals. Where necessary, additional imaging such as a CBCT scan may be recommended.
